channels of rage, response

I'm not very sure if I liked the film's subject matter or not. While rap may be a microcosm for the larger Israeli/Palestinian conflict, I don't think the film said anything new.

I did enjoy the contrast between American rap artists and the Palestinian and Israeli ones. While in America, rappers focus too much on costly things and cheap women, in the Middle East, the focus is completely shifted. It's almost as if in the Middle East, rap went back to its political roots. Hopefully one day, it'll be more materialistic.
